Another October has quickly arrived!

I feel like I was just doing this pumpkins a few months back!!

Here goes my fourth October of sharing pumpkins.  I am always open to new ideas or suggestions.

The first pumpkin this year is starting me off easy.  Sitting and watching football on this amazing Sunday I had to do a pumpkin of my favorite team.

Dana Linn Bailey Pumpkin

Many of you won’t know who DLB is.  She is a top female fitness competitor and fitness model.  She and her husband started a hand printed clothing company, FlagNorFail.  They love what they do, they bust their butts at it and it shows.  She is a big inspiration for many fitness gals out there.  She is one of my favorite fitness athletes. She works hard for her killer bod.  She’s a small business owner and an all around ass kicking cool chick.  Check her out in pumpkin form.

The JETS!

I know they lost tonight, but this is to celebrate the first win of the once again Canadian hockey team!

This other logo I may have made a poor choice in cutting out the jet.  It looks much better in person then it does in the picture I swear 🙂

Yankees

As per request for the biggest New York Yankees fan I know.  Grant, your Yankee logo pumpkin.  Sorry to hear they aren’t in the playoff run this year 😉

I stopped at the pumpkin patch on the way home from work tonight and got the first big load of the season.  I’m looking forward to doing a few big carvings this weekend, check back!

Halloween for Hunger

Tonight I had a lot of fun making two pumpkins for great cause.  A friend of mine is helping with the fundraising for an event called Halloween for Hunger.  It is a fundraiser in Langley that supports the local food bank.  I was asked to make a few pumpkins that I thought kids would like.  Needless to say I figured that the girls would really enjoy a Bieber fever pumpkin and who doesn’t like the Canucks…?

Mr. Johnny Canuck

I am going to take a small break from the pumpkins for 4 nights as I will be leaving for Vegas tomorrow evening.  I tried to find the time to carve 4 extra ones to post while I was gone but date all of a sudden crept up on me and I ran out of time.  However, in order to keep up with my pace of 30 pumpkin in 30 days, next week I will carve the ones I missed.

Tonight with the Canucks playing the ducks tonight I have done  carving of Johnny Canuck.

Captain Canada

Although Vancouver no longer has a basketball team to call our own, we still have our well loved home town boy in Steve Nash.  This pre-season brought the Raptors and the Suns into town.  So I thought I would dedicate a pumpkin to our dear Steve.  Although as I was sitting carving the pumpkin and watching/listening to the game I wondered if it was a good idea.  Something about losing by 51 points to TORONTO seems so wrong!  Here’s hoping things change when the real season rolls around.

For this pumpkin I took a photo of Nash and with a few adjustments in Photo shop I was able to get  a stencil that allowed me to carve a pumpkin.  I will give more of a step by step process at a later date.

“People have always doubted whether I was good enough to play this game at this level. I thought I was, and I thought I could be. What other people thought was really always irrelevant to me.”  Steve Nash
